  BRITISH WHITE CATTLE ASSOCIATION
The British White Cattle Association is governed by a nine member Board of Directors elected by and from the active members of the association.
Some authors suggest British White Cattle were brought to the United Kingdom by the Romans about 55 B.C. There is further evidence that British White Cattle were in the United Kingdom in pre-Roman times; perhaps as early as 4000 B.C. One of the oldest herds of British White Cattle was the Sommerford herd.
The value of British White Bulls as sires of beef cattle, are worthy of note by livestock farmers.

Congratulations to the British 4-way Formation Skydiving teams who did so well in the junior (rookie) and intermediate (single A) classes at the European Skydiving League (ESL) finals at Spa in Belgium from 2-4 September 2005.
The Formation Skydiving and Artistic British Open Nationals were held at Target Skysports in Lincolnshire over 2 weekends (July 30 to Aug 1 and Aug 6 to 8).
The British Open National Parachuting Championships in the Classics disciplines of Style and Accuracy, and in Canopy Formation, took place at the North West Parachute Centre (NWPC) in Cark, Cumbria, from Monday 5 to Friday 9 September 2005.

 Catholic World News : British medical association rejects lower abortion term-limits
Manchester, Jun. 30 (CWNews.com) - The British Medical Association (BMA) has declined to endorse a proposal that legal abortion should be available only through the first 20 weeks of pregnancy, replacing the current limit of 24 weeks.
The BMA had not discussed the term limits on legal abortion since 1989, and proponents of the change pointed out that medical science has made it possible to save the lives of babies born after 20 weeks of pregnancy.
Most abortions occur during the first 13 weeks of pregnancy, but the British Pregnancy Service-- the country's leading abortion provider-- claimed that many women would travel abroad to procure abortions if the legal limit were changed.
