They were joined by Isobel Hurll- stalwart of the Kenneth More Theatre’s pantomimes each year- a remarkably versatile lady who swops Villainess and Fairy from year to year, along with Lynsey Dolan, director and choreographer and Tim Goodchild the costume and scenic designer.
Phil was a veteran pantomime Dame- in recent years he appeared at the Brick Lane Music Hall pantomimes for Vincent Hayes, working alongside Tommy Osbourne, and appearing in these pantomimes not as dame, but in the feminine guise of Dick Whittington's cat, or Goose.
Now is probably the busiest time for pantomimes all over the country- the box offices are starting to see a surge in bookings as the nights draw in, and those handbills which have loitered in the theatre’s foyers are now starting to be restocked on a daily basis.

A British couple have had a so-called designer baby after undergoing IVF treatment in the United States in an attempt to save their other sick son.
The new baby, named Jamie, was delivered by Caesarean section on Monday after being genetically matched, while still an IVF embryo, to his four-year-old brother Charlie.
These are families who want a healthy child, and if that healthy child can also save the life of the child they already have, I think it is a double blessing.
