The British Yeomanry Mounted Division was a Territorial Army cavalry division formed in Palestine in mid-1917 from three yeomanry mounted brigades.
Due to the increased demand for mobile units on the Western Front in 1918, six of the regiments were withdrawn from the division and sent to France in April.
They were replaced by Indian cavalry regiments from the British Indian Army which meant that the complete break-up of the division was averted.

Their destination was Lorain county, Ohio, where for four years the father rented a farm in Pittsfield township; in 1867 he purchased eighty acres of new land in Lake township, Wood county, which was entirely unimproved, not even a road being laid out to his place, the most of which was underwater.

This file was formed from Lowe's remarkable British steam locomotive builders and its supplement, but is also augmented by reference to other studies, including some not cited by Lowe.
Lowe states that according to an article in The Locomotive on the locomotives of the Northern and Eastern Railway this firm supplied a locomotive to it in October 1840: Lowe considers that this was improbable.
He patented boilers for his steam carriages and in 1840 a Hancock locomotive was tried on the Eastern Counties Railway: this had a multi-chamber boiler, vertical cylinders and chain drive through a pulley system.
