Cumberland County was formed in 1750, ending Lancaster County's farflung western territory; Berks' creation in 1752 further reduced Lancaster County and in 1772 the formation of Northumberland County took away the northern tip.
Lancaster County is in the Piedmont region with occasional ridges standing above the rolling hills and limestone plains, the largest of which forms the central part of the county and is drained by the Conestoga River and Pequea Creek.

The Hampshire County Division was formed on February 28, 1941 by the redesignation of (A county of southern England on the English Channel) Hampshire Area.
In addition to the 214th Independent Infantry Brigade (Home), there were three sub-areas under the command of the division.
On November 25 the division ceased to function and the headquarters was disbanded on December 31.

I have never seen, but understand there are others elsewhere in the complex at entrances not ordinarily used by members of the public.

The Division was selected to be one that would advance into Germany and form part of the Occupation Force at Bonn.

In 1836 the civil registration areas were divided into eleven divisions, with London being number 1.
To complete matters there were many historical and civil boundaries which needed to be taken into account and recorded, so as well as enumeration district, other encompassing boundaries such as County, Parliamentary Division, Hundred, Wapentake, Parish, township, village, hamlets and extra-parochial (Soke or Liberty) places.
As you can see, there is no mention of who was the head of the household, nor the relationship between the occupants, so you get the bare minimum from the 1841 census, a name, an age, a gender and a place.
