After discussions with the board, the WR was allowed to keep the locomotives as they were, the Class 35's emblem moving to the centre of the machines and the Class 52's to the cabside opposite the numberplate.
Some of the smaller classes of locomotives were dealt with surprisingly quickly; in the case of the Class 55 'Deltics' D9002 became the first example outshopped in blue on the 20th October 1966, and D9014 the last, only three years later in November 1969.

British Anarchism and the Miners Strike
While anarchisms that prioritised liberation from class domination were the dominant forms of libertarianism in Britain at the end of the nineteenth and the start of the twentieth century, by the early 198s5, versions of anarchism based on liberal concepts of agency had come to the fore in Anglo-American circles.
Class War, which is the eponymous newspaper of a non-syndicalist class struggle anarchist grouping, was also uncompromising in its active support for workers in struggle, even if it, too, had criticisms of formal union structures and its leadership (Class War, 1984eb: 3-5).
A further tactic advanced by Class War was 'open[ing] up a second front in the cities to back the miners' (Class War, 1984ec: 3), stretching the sites of resistance from coalfields to the general control of social and community life, and thereby invoking a wider view of the agent for (potential) change.
