		Included on the disc is 13 minutes of footage added for later releases, most of which features a poor von Blanc stand-in gracelessly covering her face while being chased (or raped) by lethargic zombies who have nothing to do with the original movie.

		This particular project followed the runaway success of the director's sexy Vampyros Lesbos, which led to Franco and star Soledad Miranda receiving a multi-picture deal from a German film company.
		On the way to Berlin, however, Miranda was killed in an automobile accident, and legend has it that Franco spent a long time afterward allegedly working through his grief about her death behind the camera, and A Virgin Among the Living Dead was the result of that process.
		And while this print doesn't offer anything close to what appears on the cover art, it is officially billed on the liner notes as "Jess Franco's long-lost director's cut" and as such, represents what is likely the definitive edition of this film.

		I am a huge fan of Jesús Franco (the director) simply because he is like no other horror director that ever existed.This one I love especially because there really isn't any description for what is going on or why, so you have to think of one for yourself, which really gets the viewer involved.
		However, if you're not a Franco fan you will probably fall asleep while watching this--or any of his movies--but I find them all fascinating.
