Satellite is the only reasonable way to backhaul Broadband Internet Access there, which will apparently be distributed in the last mile(s) via terrestrial Broadband Wireless using 2.5 GHz, but the article doesn't really go into the terrestrial portion of the system.
Long term, it will be interesting to see how the independent Broadband incumbents such as Northwest Infonet fare in smaller markets that Clearwire enters, such as Yakima.
In addition to the list are tables that show how much they are spending on their networks, what applications they are using and the business models they are implementing to meet their goals.
