Ive been hearing a lot about the broadkill river this year, but not quite sure how to get there.
I've never done the broadkill via kayak but I emagine the current would be tough to contend with when it starts to move.
Its Rt.16 east.The Broadkill ends where the Lewes Coast Guard station is and goes all the way to Milton.

Rod will either bend over, or go slack, depending on which way the trout moves, and you can calmly finish whatever you were doing, like cutting up a peeler, and walk over and reel in the fish.
Literally haven't had a single hit fishing the river at Broadkill that didn't result in a hookup, haven't lost a single fish while hooked up.
You can do just fine walking from the parking lot to the river, no need to drive along the beach and walk to the river, though some do.

The town was known by various names until 1807, when it was named for the English poet, John Milton.
