	Broadmeadows, Victoria - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		The landscape of Broadmeadows was flat bush land between the Merri Creek and Moonee Ponds Creek Creeks which in the 1840's was populated by pastoralists.
		The Upfield railway line was then built in 1889 which attracted the Broadmeadows urban sprawl and it brought with it the Broadmeadows shire and in 27 January, 1871 the local municipal council was declared part of the Broadmeadows shire.
		Broadmeadows itself was subdivided from dairy farms, and other large holdings in the early 1900s.

		The Magistrates' Court of Victoria is an Australian court.
		It is the lowest in Victoria, with the County Court of Victoria and the Supreme Court of Victoria respectively judicially higher.
		Many Victorian Magistrates' Courts have video link facilities for witnesses to appear via remote telecast rather than in person and is used for when witnesses cannot travel or the prisoner is deemed too high-risk to travel to court in person.

	Melbourne's first Aboriginal court opens - theage.com.au
		The second court of its kind in Victoria, the Broadmeadows Koori Court aims to be as effective as its regional predecessor in Shepparton, which has been operating since September as a part of a two-year pilot program.
		In the Koori court, the offender's family and friends are invited to sit around an oval table, which replaces the magistrate's bench, with the elder being referred to as "Aunty" or "Uncle" by all parties.
		The regional co-ordinating magistrate at Broadmeadows, Bob Kumar, said: "The same sentencing options that apply in a magistrates court are available to a magistrate in the Koori court.

	Boccia? Its FUN! - Wheelchair accessible lawn bowls in Australia.
		It is fortunate that in Victoria, we have several families and supporters who have been willing to put in their effort and time to bring about the National competition in Victoria in early July.
		It is unfortunate though that this sport is not more recognised and supported by people and organisations so that the opportunity for competition for athletes with disabilities would become easier to organise and the effort would not always be placed on a small group of people.
		There are Boccia Clubs around Victoria that will be competing in the National Championships and it is hoped that more people in wheelchairs will become interested in the sport.
