BURLINGAME — The president of the Broadway Merchants Association is warming up to the weekday bus shuttle service that would transfer residents to and from the Millbrae station.
With the Broadway and Atherton train stations closed during the week starting Aug. 1, bus shuttles will take passengers from the Broadway station either to the Burlingame Avenue or Millbrae train stations.
In April, Caltrain's board of directors voted to suspend train service for a year at both the Broadway and Atherton stations because of low ridership numbers, delays because the stations can handle only one train at a time and because of their close proximity to other stations.
