		When the family moved to Broadwey, c.1798, it may be that John, the eldest son, remained in Branscombe, possibly with his grandparents or an uncle or aunt.
		Although, he would only have been about three years old at the time, the reason for this thinking is that he married in Branscombe in 1827 and raised his family there.
