 PARISH REGISTER 0F BROCKVILLE AND VICINITY, 1814-1830
William Buell (1792-1862), son of William Buell, U.E.L., the founder of Brockville, fought at Crysler's Farm and at Ogdensburg as a soldier in the ranks and later commanded a battalion of militia.
Brockville, Sept 28, 1820, William BRYAN, of Perth, bachelor, and Jane WESSTER, of Yonge, spinster, banns.
He practised at Brockville, where he was chairman of the Board of Education and also the first Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Canada West, I.0.0.F. A contributor to the journals of the Canadian Institute and the Smithsonian Institution as well as to the British-American Medical Journal, he died at Brockville, September 14, 1859.
