		Hi, I had the pleasure of enjoying the Bronco Bowl back during the early punk days...saw the Clash, U2 (War tour),b-52's,the Alarm,...it was just the coolest venue...walking by the archery things, the giant Bowling pin, heading for a punk show.
		Bronco Bowl was the first place that I had ever learned to bowl at.
		I went to bowl my first ball and I was so embarrassed I ended up losing the ball behind me instead of bowling it in front of me. Bronco Bowl was an awesome hang out place when I was younger.

		The Bronco Group Ltd., a partnership that owns the landmark Oak Cliff entertainment center, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and is in negotiations with a developer who is proposing to convert a portion of the Bronco Bowl into a mercado, or market, with retail booths, restaurants, used cars and bus service to Mexico.
		The owners say the filing does not mean that the Bronco Bowl is in a financial crisis, adding that a mercado would help the entertainment center become a bigger attraction to the predominately Hispanic neighborhood.
		In the early 1950s, the Bronco Bowl seats were filled by audiences for the nation's first televised bowling competitions, but later swung to concert use for headline acts like BB King, U2, 'N Sync and Britney Spears.
