The Brong Ahafo Regional branch of the Internal Revenue Services (IRS) Ladies Association has presented a quantity of food items valued at ¢3 million and cash of ¢1 million for the upkeep of the inmates of the Biadan Children’s Home at Biadan near Berekum in the Brong Ahafo Region.

 Seventh-day Adventism :: Confusion Engulfs SDA Church
On the 18th of last month, the leadership of the church in the region announced the closure and dismissal of members of 12 churches in the Brong Ahafo.
The once peaceful church in the country, the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) church, is now embroiled in confusion and rancour, following the closure of 12 branches of the church in the Brong Ahafo Region.
Citing reasons why the executives wanted them out of the church, they claimed the leadership of the 12 expelled churches had stood against immoral activities, stealing and introduction of oracle consultations by the leadership of the church in the Brong Ahafo.

Four Senior Officers of the Customs Excise and Preventive Service (CEPS), who were stationed at Kwame-Seikrom in the Brong Ahafo Region, have been interdicted for allegedly stealing official documents of the service for unauthorised deals.
It said the complaint was followed up and it was detected that the documents covering the goods had been stolen from the CEPS office.The source said further investigations revealed that the four senior officers were alleged to be behind the deal and were subsequently interdicted.
The four, whose names were not disclosed for security reasons, were said to have used some of the documents to clear large quantities of rice imported into the country by a businesswoman called Hajia.
