Bronisław Kaper (misspelled by the U.S. immigration authorities as Bronislau Kaper) (1902 - 1983) was a Jewish Polish-born composer of popular music.
Kaper met Walter Jurmann in Berlin in the late 1920s, and the two decided to work as a team, first in Berlin and then in Paris, France.
On being offered a seven-year contract with MGM by Louis B. Mayer, Kaper and Jurmann emigrated to the United States, where they continued their work.

The Bronislaw Kaper Awards For Young Artists are held annually by the Los Angeles Philharmonic for the piano and strings instrumental categories, which alternate each year.
Named in honor of the late Bronislaw Kaper, a renowned film composer who served for more than 15 years as a member of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association's Board of Directors, the Awards encourage the development of young and gifted musicians.

A graduate of the Warsaw Conservatory, he wrote concert music and scored early German sound films, usually in collaboration with Austrian composer Walter Jurman.
After Hitler came to power, Kaper emigrated to the US via France and began contributing songs for Hollywood films in the mid-30s, often in collaboration ith lyricist Gus Kahn.
He later signed a long-term contract with MGM and composed scores for many of the studio's major films.
