This 422-acre park is located in eastern Dane County along Koshkonong Creek between the Village of Cambridge and the historic Village of Rockdale.
This project is made possible by partnerships between Dane County, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, the National Park Service, the City of Verona, the Town of Verona, and the Ice Age Park and Trail Foundation.
The Ice Age Trail Corridor passes through the west side of Dane County from Lodi Marsh in the Town of Dane to the Brooklyn State Wildlife Area in the Town of Montrose.

Jeptha Davis, a pioneer of the town of Brooklyn, was born in Massachusetts, in 1795.
Alvira, wife of Everett Dodge, an early settler of Brooklyn; Louisa, wife of Alpheus Laird, of Attica, and Electra, wife of Henry L. Hyde, of Middleton, are deceased.
He represented his district in the assembly two terms, was superintendent of schools in Brooklyn under the old town system, and was chairman of the town several terms.

In March of 1976 at Dane County Heritage Days, the quilt was stretched on a rack and stitched by hundreds of people; 2,516 people signed the register for themselves and their families.
Saint Norbert House was the first Catholic Church in Dane County and the nucleus of the town and German settlement there.

Myron Whitcomb, in 1844, came to the county and soon selected land on sections 26 and 35, which was claimed by another man whom he had to pay $150 to release his claim.
Nels Hanson was one of the first Norwegians to settle in the county, and as he has kept pace with the times, he is now one of the leading and influential men among the people of his nationality.
Edmund Clark came to Richland county in the fall of 1856, and in the spring of 1857 settled on section 34, where he had purchased eighty acres of land.

Western Dane County lies in the unglaciated Driftless Area of narrow stream cut valleys and angular ridges exposing sandstone and dolomite.
The eastern two-thirds of the county is part of the domain of the glaciers, covered with layers of sand, clay and gravel left by a series of glacial advances.
During the late Wisconsin Glaciation, the Green Bay Lobe of the continental ice sheet covered most of this eastern portion until 15,000 years ago.

He helped Brooklyn to the championship in 1920, the Cardinals to pennants in 1930 and 1931, and the Cubs to the flag in 1932.
They originally located in the Norwegian settlement Koshkonong in Dane County, and in 1850 were among the first settlers on Coon Prairie, Christiana Township, in Bad Axe (Vernon) County.
At age 18, she was sent to be a servant in the home of widower Jeremiah Rusk.

Put in at the corner of County Roads A and Q near Milford, and take out where the Crawfish meets the Rock.
You can take out at the 14 bridge (easy to find) or turn on C and drop the car at the 23 bridge, which has a nicer takeout.
