To give members and other Broomhill residents a chance to find out more about the activities of both BANG and the Local History Group and also to raise funds, we are having a combined Fair and Open Meeting at the Scout Hut on 15 June.

The Friends of Broomhill Pool have done terrific work raising public awareness over the past two years with a Saturday stall on the Cornhill, holding meetings and collecting over 16000 names for the petition which was presented by Sir Michael Lord MP to Ipswich Councillor John Mowles.
Following an invitation from The Broomhill Pool Trust, we were delighted a receive a visit from Griff Rhys Jones who is most recently associated with presenting the BBC programme "Restoration".
The Broomhill Pool Trust believes at least £67,000 is needed for surveys, including an in-depth analysis of the structure, which is leaking and subsiding.

I find Broomhill church a very warm place and loving and I am very glad that my mother spent her last few years worshiping and taking part in the activities around the church.
The day didn't start all that well as I was slightly late and the lady who sat at the end of a pew (taking up the whole pew for herself) was not happy that I had to move her to get in.
I visited Broomhill recently for the first time in 23 years and enjoyed the whole experience of the welcome, the warm interior and, of course, an excellent service.

September 2004  were approved as a correct record, subject to (a) the substitution of the name “Bamford” for the name “Banford” in Item 2 – Development at Sheffield United Football Ground and (b) the addition of Councillor Andrew White to the list of apologies for the meeting.
The residents of Broomhill were of the opinion that the area already had an adequate bus service and in their opinion, they believed that residents of Fulwood and other surrounding areas would not walk to Broomhill to catch the trams into the City Centre, but continue to use their cars.
