Brother Bones recorded one of the most instantly recognizable songs of the 20th century, yet remains a virtual unknown, overshadowed by his own hit record and the world famous basketball team that adopted it as their official theme.
According to Tempo Records, Brother Bones was discovered by their president while playing in a Chinese restaurant in downtown Los Angeles and shortly after, "Sweet Georgia Brown" was playing on the radio across the nation.
Brother Bones went on to record over a dozen songs, appear in at least three movies, perform at Carnegie Hall and was on The Ed Sullivan Show.

The Brother Records logic does not seem limited to royalty situations (which arguably are tied somewhat to extent of national exploitation), or at least the Brother Records court does not explicitly state any kind of royalty-based limit on its rationale.
Similarly, when the Brother Records court distinguishes a first circuit case, Ticketmaster, which had held unconstitutional attempted personal jurisdiction over a journalistic source, the Brother Records court reads Ticketmaster as emphasizing only that the source is not the true author of a news story.
I am, however, emphasizing that the Brother Records court misleads to the extent that it asserts the case before it is already governed by Keeton.
