		The Brouwersdam is a dam, part of the Delta Works, from Schouwen-Duiveland to Goedereede, the west part of the island of Goeree-Overflakkee in South Holland.
		There is no village called Schouwen-Duiveland itself — the municipality takes it name from the island, which itself got its name when the former islands Schouwen and Duiveland (and Dreischor) were poldered together.

		The venue is excellent, with a large expanse of tideless water, and is worthy of a far greater number of Snipes than the 19 that gathered for this event.
		Sunday was even hotter than Saturday, but this time a natural easterly dominated from early morning, and with a 10am start time everyone was up and on the water by 9 to be certain of clearing the lock gates in time!
