 Bird Ringing at Sungei Buloh Wetlands Reserve
A bird species ringed for the first time (it had been recorded visually previously) in SBWR is the Striped Tit-Babbler.
Other interesting birds ringed in 2002 were the Asian Paradise Flycatcher, Forest Wagtail, Red-necked Stint and the Siberian Blue Robin.
This is the first time that SBWR has recorded the return of these migrants back to their ringing site.

 Birdwatching Trip Report from Singapore
On reaching the mangrove swamps we used tapes to try and pin down Mangrove whistler (with success) and Mangrove pitta, Pitta megarhyncha, which we did not get.
This super habitat yielded a small party of birds which included Ashy and Dark-necked tailorbird, Asian paradise flycatcher, Magpie robin, Pied fantail and Brown-throated sunbird.
It started to rain as we set off across the golf course and by the time it finished four hours later I was a little damp.
