Genuine Browning High-Power P-35s are still manufactured by FN Herstal (imported to North America by Browning) of Belgium and Portugal, and by FM (licensed to Fabricaciones Militares) of Argentina; remaining one of the most influential pistols in the history of small arms.
Browning High-Power pistols were used during WWII by both the Allies and the Axis powers.

The Browning Hi-Power would have a similarly lengthy period of service outside the United States, and remains the standard sidearm of the United Kingdom's armed forces.
From 1883, Browning worked in partnership with the Winchester Repeating Arms Company, and designed a series of repeating rifles and shotguns, most notably the Winchester Model 1887 and Model 1897 shotguns and the lever-action Model 1886, Model 1892, Model 1894 and Model 1895 rifles, all of which are still in production today.

 Browning Hi Power Accuracy
While the Browning Hi Power remains a service pistol with service accuracy, I believe that it falls in the better range of this rating and with but a little help can be a very accurate pistol for all but the very best shots or those in formal competition.
For most of us, the Browning Hi Power is more accurate than we can actually make use of as it comes from the manufacturer, but it is still essentially a service pistol and should not be expected to group with a target gun.
One of the endearing traits of the Hi Power is that it is usually consistent in accuracy, one gun to another.

 Browning Hi Power Pistol
As development progressed, Browning conceived of the basic shape of the pistol and its breech locking system in which the rear of the barrel cammed down to disengage dorsal lugs from recesses in the slide.
Dubbed the M35 or Hi Power, the final version of the pistol was not finished until 1935, but it was a design so sound that it has remained virtually unchanged to this day.
However, Browning passed away in 1926 still awaiting the pistol’s patent, which was not issued until the next year.
