| | Brownsea Swim Report |
 | | The only problem we had this year was the tides, in that they were on springs and due to an additional ferry arriving on the Island at 09:50hrs, we had to start the race 1hour and 25mins before the tide turned. |
 | | Hats have to be taken off to the last swimmer home, Angela Medley who persevered against cramps, extreme cold and fatigue, but whom still managed to swim her way around the island in a time of 2 hours 40mins and 17secs, and took almost as long to warm up again. |
 | | A big thank you to the National Trust, Brownsea Island, in particular Property Manager - Simon Lee, for allowing us to host the event again and for allowing us the use of their facilities, also, Duty Warden Darren Gridley-Haack, for organising the Ferries, to transport the swimmers to and from the Island for the race. |
