		Bruce Millan (born 5 October 1927) is a Scottish Labour politician.
		He was born in Dundee and educated at the Harris Academy in that city.
		In 1999-2001 he chaired the Millan Committee which proposed reforms to the provision of Mental Health care in Scotland.

		Millan said there were positive elements this year, but stressed that the fiscal balance remained the Greek economy's main problem, describing the government's targets in that direction as "ambitious".

		But Bruce Millan, the Rep's founder and artistic director, wants his institution to be known, first and foremost, for one thing as it concludes its 40th season: good theater.
		One incident that particularly raises Millan's ire is a recent award for "40 excellent years of community and artistic effort," something he seems to regard as a theatrical equivalent to being named Miss Congeniality.
		Future plans are equally grand: Millan hopes to open a second theater across Woodrow Wilson from the current one and generate a cultural village between Davison and Webb streets that would include theater, film and television production facilities, as well as restaurants and retail development.

		Either explanation was reinforced by director Bruce Millan's choice to create a confrontational Carol who, from her first meeting with John, physically reacted to each her professor's suggestions with barely contained anger.
		Millan staged the scene so that Carol used the computer monitor on the upstage side of John's desk as a podium while John cowered in his seat below, resembling a defendant in a criminal trial.

		A report by the government-sponsored Millan committee calls for a new Mental Health Act to be introduced north of the border, together with reforms that will enable new community orders to allow patients to be compulsorily treated in the community.
		The Millan committee, chaired by former Scottish secretary Bruce Millan, was set up by the then Scottish health minister Sam Galbraith two years ago to review the Mental Health (Scotland) Act 1984.
