 Frank Bruce Robinson
This descriptive inventory of the Papers of Frank Bruce Robinson and Psychiana in the University of Idaho Library was prepared by Judith Nielsen in April 1980.
From her letter and Robinson's reply it is evident that this is the telegram he mentions in several of his books as the one he read to the audience in Portland's Shrine Auditorium.
Robinson was Mahoney's chief financial backer and notes in ink on the back of page six of the typescript indicate that he believed fraud and voting irregularities were the cause of Mahoney's defeat.

Bruce Robinson has just completed his sophomore year at Stanford University, yet as far as the Alaska Goldpanners are concerned, he is looked upon as a veteran performer.
Having been recruited by the Goldpanners directly out of high school, Robinson is now in his third year with the club, and the hope exists that this will be the summer he breaks loose and shows some of the unlimited potential that was predicted of him when he first came to the Panners in 1972.
Last year however, Robinson stepped into the catching position on a regular basis at the outset of the season, only for him to break fingers on his right hand, not just once, but on two different occasions, which limited his playing time to a mere 25 games, during which he batted.294.

Bruce Robinson   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-13)
Bruce Robinson's early acting career included highlights such as the role of Benvolio in Franco Zeffirelli's 'Romeo and Juliet' (1968) and parts in movies directed by Ken Russell (The Music Lovers) and François Truffaut (L'Histoire d'Adele H).
But the frustrations of an actor's life - periods with no work and the resulting acceptance of jobs such as TV commercials - weighed heavily upon him, so he moved into writing screenplays in the mid 1970s.
'The Killing Fields' earned Bruce an Oscar nomination, but his greatest success came soon after when he wrote and directed 'Withnail & I', a film said to be heavily autobiographical about the lives of two unemployed actors.

 Bruce Robinson interview
Bruce Robinson was born 55 years ago, the product of his mother’s wartime extra-marital affair, something he only found out about at the age of 30 when he heard it from his dying grandmother.
Indeed, the young Robinson’s upbringing was about as dysfunctional as it gets, a nightmare recalled in the savage fl humour of his first novel, ‘The Peculiar Memories Of Thomas Penman,’ published in 1998 after he effectively terminated a long and very chequered relationship with mainstream Hollywood.
After that, Bruce’s career went a bit ‘Barton Fink.’ ‘Jennifer 8,’ directed by its author and released in 1992, starring Andy Garcia, Uma Thurman and John Malkovich, was a potentially great thriller spoiled by studio machinations and enforced edits which only served to confuse the narrative.
