	Bruceploitation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Bruceploitation is a cultural phenomenon mostly seen in the 1970s after the untimely death of martial artist and actor Bruce Lee in 1973.
		"Bruceploitation" is a portmanteau of the name "Bruce" and exploitation film.
		One of Lee's fight choreographers, actor/director Sammo Hung, famously satirized the phenomenon of Bruceploitation in his 1978 film, Enter the Fat Dragon.

	The Bruceploitation Trilogy - Part One
		This movie was a Bruceploitation fans dream come true as not only did it display the talents of Le but also Korean Taekwando expert and fan favourite, Dragon Lee.
		Almost every Bruceploitation movie ever made, be it Le's or otherwise featured the familiar instrumental score which would in time become somewhat of a trademark for the exploitation genre.
		Whilst the latter seemed to be a last ditch attempt to hang onto the exploitation scene it was undoubtedly the swan song and nail in the coffin of Bruceploitation.

		Another important fact about this film concerns the title: these Bruceploitation films of the mid- to late-70s are notorious for having different titles.
		As I said, the plot is pretty similar to that of many a martial arts film, but this story works for me, particularly with the emphasis Bob places on disproving the idea that the Chinese are cowards; everyone who gets in his way is made to respect the Chinese.
		It can be hard for a fan of the real Bruce Lee to embrace the string of Bruceploitation films that were churned out in the years after his death, and many a Lee fan will not watch any of them.

		Bruceploitation comes in several varieties and flavors and I think it's fair to break them down thus.
		Several pioneers in the field such as Carl Jones (owner of the Bruce Li fanzine), and Keith and William at the Bruceploitation page (one of the BEST sites on the web) can enlighten you, and hopefully tempt you into the lair of the not quite Lee.
		Overall, the Dragon 4 Pack is a nice Bruceploitation primer...and at the price, it can't be beat for diehards, all those who want to see something strange though...try and find a tape of Clones of Bruce Lee instead.

	Rent Goodbye Bruce Lee - His Last Game Of Death. LOVEFiLM \| Europe's No.1 online DVD rental service
		I read a few reviews indicating that this film was not only bad but an utterly terrible mess; however even though this is a Bruceploitation movie and one that is quite flawed in some aspects, the film benefits strongly from American involvement (like Bruce Li's other film Exit The Dragon, Enter The Tiger).
		Like with most Bruceploitation movies, there's a fair share of humour (most of it seemingly unintentional) that will have punters rolling in the aisles.
		For instance this encounter with this fl henchman (of whom the DVD cover states is Kareem Abdul-Jabbar throwing in a cameo appearance) and another one which sees Li take on a group of gangsters (including 2 laughably unconvincing Caucasian thugs).

		A Tribute to Bruce Lee is more for Bruceploitation fans than Bruce Lee fans, with the exception of the excellent Bruce Lee: The Man, The Myth.
		The amazing Dana Lei, though, makes this otherwise crackpot film a Bruceploitation favorite of mine – not only is she gorgeous and talented, she also supplies the late plot twist that elevates this film a step above mediocrity.
		If you inexplicably love the Bruceploitation films as much as I do, though, Bruce Lee Fights Back From the Grave and Image of Bruce Lee are two of the more memorable knockoff films which you will not want to miss.

		Speaking of characterization, I wasn't sure as to whether Shelly was a shy character or if it was due to the cluelessness (or shy/embarrassed) appearance of the actress playing her (but again, it's probably down to the direction and scripting).
		Producer Joseph Lai, no stranger to run-of-the-mill chopsockies, revives the Bruceploitation genre that ended in the late 70's; and wiped out for good in the early 80's.

		There is something about the sixty minute mark of Bruceploitation films, though, that really hurts the genre as a whole.
		Bruce Li is not my favorite Bruceploitation actor, as I just find his fighting style too rigid and unnatural for my tastes, but he does have some fans out there who have taken a liking to him.
		Still, there are much worse Bruceploitation films than this, and fans of kung fu movies will surely find enough entertainment value in Bruce Li the Invincible to get some enjoyment out of watching it.

		It's the one bruceploitation flick I'm really dying to get my hands on, but I can't even find that mother on ebay.
		I guess the only thing worth mentioning from this one is that this is the 3rd movie I've seen that has someone fighting in the (Now famous) yellow tracksuit.
		The guy they got to re-dub everything Bruce Lee supposedly says in the interviews within the film sounded absolutely nothing like Bruce, and when the young teenage Bruce Lee turned to his girlfriends brother and for no reason said "you're nuts!", I just couldn't hold in a huge burst of laughter.

		Another one of countless vehicles exploiting the legend of Bruce Lee (hence the term Bruceploitation).
		When the filmmakers behind what was reportedly during production called The Stranger realized that they had an inept film and a genuine turkey of a martial arts actioner on their hands, they decided to capitalize on the wave of films featuring Bruce Lee copies (aptly named Bruceploitation).
		Featuring a Korean actor credited as Bruce K. Lea, he admittedly got a few nice moves and the movie is hokey fun at certain points.

	Revenge of the Patriots DVD
		Instead this is another historical drama set during the Ching Dynasty, and Bruce Li doesn’t imitate his namesake.
		Bruce Li admitted he wasn’t proud of going the Bruceploitation route, but that he was bowing to studio pressure since he looked like Bruce Lee more than anyone else in the industry at that time.
		So it must have been a breath of fresh air for him to disassociate himself from that image, and immerse himself in character as the male lead in this ensemble epic.

		I had Super Gang to arrive in the mail on yesterday, I was anxious because of all the Bruceploitation flicks that I'd seen from early childhood, this one seemed to have been one of the few I'd missed.
		This film would've gotten a 5 from me if they hadn't tried to pass it off as a Bruce Lee film(because it just so happened to feature a Bruce Lee clone in a supporting role), but it's a keeper, and Bruce Le isn't trying to dupe fans into thinking he's the real deal...he's being himself.

	Lady Whirlwind And The Rangers/Ten Tigers of Shaolin
		When their authority in the region is challenged by a group of four evil doers, the last straw is finally broken when one of the Tigers’ wife is kidnapped and taken hostage by the evil Lord Yuen.
		With a fight scene happening about every ten minutes or so and a fun and energetic performance by ‘Bruceploitation’ star Bruce Leung, Ten Tigers Of Shaolin is a solid chop sockey effort with a strong cast and some terrific fight scenes.
		Look for an appearance by Jason Pia Piao of Hell’s Wind Staff, as well as a strangely out of place full frontal nude scene from one of the film’s heroines.

		Strangely enough, I don't even mind because I have some sort of obsession with Bruceploitation movies that compels me to watch and usually enjoy any of them I can get hold of.

		So, I suppose if you enjoy popping pain relief tablets, this is the film for you.
		Considering how notorious my man Bruce Li is for starring in B-F grade BRUCEploitation flicks, the Young Bruce Lee impressed me for a good 85-90% of the film.
		And what REALLY made me want to sidekick a hole in my TV screen was the fact that they alleged that Lee's wife collapsed and DIED at the funeral and that both bodies were flown to Seattle for burial.
