Bruno the Bandit is a Web comic drawn by Ian McDonald about an incompetent bandit in a fantasy setting.
For example, in Rothland (Bruno's homeland) barbarians prefer to be called Wilderness-enhanced, and books of great evil are released in paperback, for the benefit of evil wizards everywhere.
However, since Bruno is not exactly good, they have allied (and betrayed each other) many times on the strip.

"Bruno the Bandit" is one of the most consistently engaging and entertaining comic strips I have read on the internet, and considering what I see in the papers lately, it may be one of the best comics out there today.
For any who might not know of it yet, "Bruno the Bandit" is the story of a muscle-bound ne'er do well in a mixed-up fantasy world where wizards, elves, barbarians and incredible monsters interact with daytime TV talk shows, promotional book deals, political scandals and personal computers.
Not that Bruno himself is any "hero" by conventional standards....he steals anything that is not nailed down (although he rarely gets to keep it), drinks and womanizes in a fashion that would make Conan blush, and has been known to snack down on fricasseed unicorn steak.

Bruno the Bandit is one of the most professional comics I have ever seen published on the web.
The stories are mostly very well done spoofs of modern culture in a fantasy setting, my personal favorites of which are "The Forbidden Game" and "Free Will." The characters are always endearing; the relationship between Bruno and Fiona is at a parody of many partner-in-crime fellowships, and endearing at the same time.
