		Records under the "Brunswick" label were first produced by the Brunswick Bake Collender Company[?] (a company based in Dubuque, Iowa which had been manufacturing products ranging from pianos to sporting equipment since 1845).
		In 1932 the British branch of Brunswick was acquired by Decca Records.
		In 1939 the U.S.A. Brunswick label was bought by CBS, which discontinued the label in 1940 The folowing year rights to use the Brunswick label in the New World and the back catalogue of Brunswick recordings from 1931 and earlier were sold to US Decca.

	Brunswick County Records
		Brunswick County included the present Virginia counties of Brunswick, Charlotte, Halifax, Lunenburg, Mecklenburg, a small portion of western Greensville, the southwestern corner of Nottoway, the majority of Prince Edward, the southern portion of Appomattox, almost all of Campbell, and the land to the west with an indeterminate western boundary.
		Brunswick's population grew rapidly as tobacco farmers from eastern counties pushed into the virgin soils of the new county and began the tobacco planting cycle anew.
		The court records for the county are virtually intact and, although the courthouse was the object of a Union raid in 1864, the vandalism of the building did not destroy the records themselves.

	Robert Gee of Brunswick County, Virginia
		Robert GEE was born probably between 1700 and 1710 and was an early settler of Saint Andrews Parish, Brunswick County, in the colony of Virginia.
