Bryce was a very interesting and dramatic speaker, all of our clients were very impressed with his presentation, and they are still calling to let us know how much they enjoyed the night thanks to Bryce.

I felt his ideals and basic charecter remained the same but, for some reason the thought of him as a main stream adult didn't apeal to me as much as him as an adolescent child or even a mine worker.

Bryce Courtenay has been on my list of favorite authors since I read "The Power of One." He does not disappoint in "Tommo and Hawk."
Courtenay has written a book steeped in the richness of early Australian History.
Being very critical, I would say that gee yep, this coulda been better and all (as I did not like all of the things that happenend in the end), but it was a great read from one of the best authors in the land of OZ (for this type of literature).

Im doing a assessment at school about Australia and im curious as to what Bryce Courtenay novel would best provide me with adequate information about the Australian goverment status before world war one.
I am writing my Languages degree thesis on this Courtenay´s book and even though I think I understand English, I still do not get the meaning of the word "Scholar".

And even though there is alot of reference to boxing and other related male issues, as a girl reader this didn't put me off one bit.
In fact i found it all quite interesting and some of the quotes and descriptions that Bryce used will forever remain in my heart!!
