Bryon Wilfert, P.C., B.A., B.Ed., M.A., (born July 14, 1952 in Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian politician.
Wilfert was elected as a Richmond Hill councillor in 1985.
He was first elected to the House of Commons in the 1997 federal election, scoring an easy victory in the Greater Toronto Area riding of Oak Ridges.

Bryon's constiutency office is also very active and it works to help all people who ask for help, no matter what their political stripe.

 CN ON: Cops Fight Pot Decriminalization
Wilfert believes police and Canadians will be given more time to digest the proposed legislation, since there won't be enough time to make it law before June 20, when parliament recesses.
Wilfert said the focus of the legislation should remain the need to decriminalize possession of marijuana, especially for young people.
Wilfert has publicly supported a decision to appeal that ruling to the Supreme Court of Canada.

For his part, Wilfert said he was pleased to see Taiwan smoothly complete its first-ever peaceful transition of power between different political parties in May 2000 and a critical legislative election last December, which resulted in a change of the largest party in the Legislative Yuan.
Noting that Taiwan is Canada's fourth-largest trading partner, Wilfert said he is convinced that bilateral trade and economic relations would grow even closer after Taiwan's formal WTO entry at the beginning of this year.
Wilfert also assured Chen that he and his parliamentary colleagues will do their utmost to help boost Canada-Taiwan relations.

I have personally went and canvassed Ward 6 with Bryon and know for a fact that the area is all Liberal, if you were in the right ward, you would notice an ocean or red and white and a puddle of blue.
Wilfert does have a few area lawn signs and I felt uncomfortable when he practically forced it on me, so my house has one, although I do not plan on voting liberal.
Wilfert is a bad defender of his record, and he's going to have a really tough campaign over Merrifield.

The funding, presented by Bryon Wilfert, MP for Oak Ridges and Frank Klees, MPP for Oak Ridges from the Canada-Ontario Infrastructure Program is for the construction of a new 12,000 square foot public library at Richmond Green.
This new library will be a unique facility in the area as it will provide services not only to the public, but also to the adjacent high school, eliminating the need for a dedicated library within the school itself.

Bryon Wilfert Member of Parliament for the riding of Richmond Hill was appointed today as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of the Environment, Stéphane Dion.
In the same breath he became part of the Privy Council; he will now be known as the Honourable Bryon Wilfert, Member of Parliament and Member of the Privy Council.
The Honourable Member has had many local initiatives in regards to the environment in his riding, formally known as Oak Ridges, which used to include the Oak Ridges Moraine, for which he helped set aside 7,500 hectares of Federal Land (Pickering Airport Lands) for no development in perpetuity.
