Written and directed by Don Coscarelli, the frightmeister who brought "Phantasms" 1 through X to audiences, "Bubba Ho-Tep" is faithfully adapted from a short story by cult author Joe R. Lansdale.
Despite the admittedly absurd story, "Bubba Ho-Tep" is an artful deconstruction of these important icons and tells a thoughtful story of aging and regret.
However, as the closing credits suggest, this is only the beginning of the Bubba franchise, as the adventures may continue in "Bubba Nosferatu: Curse of the She-Vampires."

BUBBA Ho-Tep boasts one of the weirdest scenarios of recent years, and has become a firm cult classic since its release in the States last year, but it looked set to become lost in straight to DVD hell in the UK for ages.
And the ending certainly promises a sequel, called Bubba Nosferatu: Curse of the She-Vampires, with the oh-so busy Coscarelli also hinting at a concept for a third film, Bubba Sasquatch, which might find Elvis heading to the north woods to help somebody fight a tribe of killer Bigfoots.
And the Boston Globe wrote that ‘Coscarelli… is a sure-footed B-movie journeyman, and for Bubba Ho-Tep, he’s in generously lunatic mood’.

I havnt seen Bubba Ho-Tep yet but i think i prefer the idea of Sasquatch as theres loads of vampire movies, well enough and it would be better for Elvis to go against a more realistic and less used enemy kinda and not a fully formed one from other films
