The Buddha Gautama, then, is simply one member of the spiritual lineage of Buddhas, which stretches back into the dim recesses of the past and forward into the distant horizons of the future.
Technically, a Buddha, one who rediscovers the Dharma (i.e., truth; the nature of reality, of the mind, of the affliction of the human condition and the correct "path" to liberation) by Enlightenment, comes to be after skillful or good karma (action) is perfectly maintained and all negative unskillful actions are abandoned.
For the Buddha, the key to liberation is mental purity and correct understanding, and for this reason he rejected the notion that we can gain salvation by begging to a distant deity.

Mashed Buddha's first album, "Subdue Your Mind," is an unexpected foray into electronic music from a keyboard player who started classical, discovered jazz, and ended up in another orbit with electronica.
Mashed Buddha's creator John Corda decided to stop waiting for the band of his dreams and instead created his own album of original music.
Attracted to the complex drum stylings of jungle and drum n bass, he used this as a rhythmic foundation for much of the music on 'subdue your mind.' Not content with creating just another drum n bass record, he added grooves that are at times hypnotic, dissonant, symphonic, emotional, or all of the above.

The opening track Carousel (which is also on the Cheshire Cat album) begins the album fantastically, and shows you what to expect from the album - fast, raw old-skool style punk.
The album shows a bit of variety in the form of 21 Days - probably the slowest paced song on the album - which stays well within the range of punk, but is a break from the quick pace of the other tracks.
