As much as Ted Nolan was liked in Buffalo I don’t think anyone is upset with the way things turned out… of course a first round upset would definitely change that.
Both the Sabres and the Isles have struggled in man up situations, the Sabres are 17th on the PP and 20th on the PK while the Islanders are 12th on the PP and 18th on the PK.
Buffalo also scored two shorthanded goals, both coming in the first period of the 6-4 Sabres victory on March 30.
