 MRDs in WSD for Senseval-2
The dictionaries used for disambiguation operate in the background (as distinguished from the foreground development and maintenance of a dictionary), with rapid btree lookup to access and examine the characteristics of multiple senses of a word after a sentence has been parsed.
In disambiguation, this dictionary was examined first for a match, with the full phrase then used to identify the sense inventory rather than a single word.
Using NODE as the disambiguation dictionary and mapping its senses into WordNet senses achieved comparable levels of precision, although recall was somewhat lower, as indicated by the difference in the number of items on which the precision was calculated.

That is, given a particular bug in the program, the size of the input testcase required to demonstrate that bug is smaller when the program contains good assertions, and larger when it does not, because a failed assertion is an early manifestation of the defect.
Rationale: If the bug is not present in gcc-3.x, then presumably the author of the code needing the bug is already under pressure to fix it since the all the major Linux distributions are using gcc-3.
If the bug is not emulated by icc, and code needing it is rare, then we can file a bug report directly with the package author, explaining that the code is invalid and using icc to support that claim (icc is freely available and reasonably popular).

Today, gold bugs tend to be economically pessimistic, believing that a certain company, sector, or the entire stock market is going to crash and thus gold will be the only reliable store of value during a depression.
Gold bugs are also often associated with attempts to return to the gold standard monetary system and many like to point out what they perceive as the shortcomings of fiat money.
A digital gold bug uses private digital gold currency, in preference to government issued fiat currency, for reasons such as lack of trust in fractional-reserve banking or government monetary policy.

As well, we have a workable solution to disambiguate C and extended C Abstract Syntax Trees (AST) but their paper does not mention disambiguation.
Not only do we need to be able to add new disambiguation rules to those of the host language, but we also need to intermix them just as freely as for SGLR modules.
To cope with this issue we planned to develop a reversible preprocessor that embeds annotations in the AST to allow their reversal, very much in the spirit of Proteus project in fact [33].

PHP Bugs: #8796: "$foo->bar->baz" ambiguity in double quoted strings
There has been some discussion in the php.net documentation area on OO about the inability to further extend this notation to do something like: print "$foo->bar->baz"; The reason given for not being able to do this is due to the ambiguity of the multiple -> operators.
Similarly, for languages which support similar semantics for an -> operator there is a disambiguating assignment of associativity and precedence which allows constructs like $foo->bar->baz to be unambiguously interpreted.

Another way of fixing that would be to have a bug-tracker instance have a short pretty name, like "OpenACS Bug", or something even shorter, which can be used in referring to bugs, like "OpenACS Bug #123".
When you move a bug, well, you've moved the bug.
Conceivably we could keep the old bug row around and clone it, and have bug-tracker redirect to the new, moved copy.

This flag allows the disambiguator to select in favor of the noun interpretation in case of ambiguity, to avoid having to ask a stupid disambiguation question ("which letter do you mean, the parchment letter, or the letter opener?" should clearly not be asked).
This skips any additional checking the disambiguator would normally perform and uses the current list as-is. This should generally never be returned directly, but is used when returning a list of objects.
In particular, when a single object had a vocabulary word that was a leading substring of another vocabulary word of the same object (for example, if an object defined as nouns both 'headlight' and 'headlights'), the object could in some cases show up twice in a list of ambiguous objects ("which headlight do you mean...").

 1997 Competition Game Reviews -- Page 1
I found a couple of very minor bugs, but there were many, many touches that made it clear that a great deal of thought, foresight, and effort went into the coding of this game.
Still, the fact that these flaws are so jarring is a strong indication of what a high standard the game sets, and minor problems do not greatly detract from the fact that Spring is a wonderful piece of IF, as refreshing as a pine-scented mountain breeze after an invigorating hike.
Consequently, the fact that there were quite a few bugs in the game did impact its final rating, but not as significantly as it might have.
