Her husband, Ralph Peters (Peters), filed a claim against Builders Square seeking medical expenses, burial expenses, and death benefits under section 7 of the Workers' Compensation Act (820 ILCS 305/7 (West 2000)).
The matter proceeded to an arbitration hearing where the arbitrator found that the decedent suffered a compensable accident, and that the accident was a causative factor in her death.
Builders Square then filed this appeal claiming the circuit court erred in reversing the Commission's decision.

 Citrus: County approves new tree ordinance
By a 4-1 vote, the commission passed a law requiring builders to preserve two trees on lots that are 10,000 square feet or smaller.
A previous draft of the ordinance required builders to preserve one tree per 2,000 square feet, or 22 trees per acre.
Builders, residents and county staff members had complained that the current law is too complicated and difficult to enforce.

Builders Square said these ceiling fans are equipped with metal fan blade bracket holders which may break, allowing the blade to separate from the motor while the fan is in use.
Builders Square, Inc. learned of these defective fans from seven customer complaints, involving one minor injury, which the firm reported to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
