Not an easy read, but Built To Last is one of those books you will want to dip into ever so often.
When there's a new blip on the radar or a new product or idea generating buzz, it's good to see how similar companies stood their ground.

The task in the 2005 competition was to design a “building for a thousand years”, a large public building which could endure 1,000 years in its external form, and which would make, once built, no contribution to global warming during its useful life.
Entrants were asked to select a small town somewhere in the world where the building would be sited, and consider the possible changes in usage, topography and climate that might occur over the course of a millennium.
