In April 1945, Camarines Sur was finally liberated from the Japanese invaders.

NEW People's Army (NPA) rebels set on fire a relay station of Bayantel telecommunications in Bula town in Camarines Sur Sunday noon at the height of the military's Operation Gordian Knot against the communists.
Southern Luzon Command spokesman Maj. Jose Broso said this is the second time the communist rebels burned the same relay station of Bayantel in Barangay Kinalabasahan, Bula this year.
Quoting reports from the field, Broso said at least 25 armed men who introduced themselves as NPA rebels swooped down on the Bayantel relay station at around 12:00 noon.

BULA, CAMARINES SUR—The Department of Agrarian Reform is preparing to take over a 460-hectare property of an agrarian reform community that has been organized into a cooperative, according to a government lawyer.
Cabañes Jr., DAR-Camarines Sur legal division chief, said the Pecuaria Development Cooperative Inc. (PDCI), composed of more than 100 farming families, would be forced to turn over the contested property to the government once the court lifted the temporary restraining order (TRO) on foreclosure proceedings that should have been completed in December last year.
Cabañes said the PDCI failed to pay the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) a P3-million debt acquired on May 17, 1993.
