The proximal phalanx is flexed at the metacarpophalangeal joint by muscles innervated by the branches of the ulnar and median nerves.
The distal phalanx is flexed at the distal interphalangeal joint by a muscle innervated by branches of the median nerve.
the recurrent branch of the median nerve innervates the abductor pollicis longus, the opponens pollicis, and the flexor pollicis brevis muscles.

Bulbospongiosus muscle - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Bulbospongiosus (bulbocavernous in older texts) is one of the superficial muscles of the perineum.
The middle fibers are supposed by Krause to assist in the erection of the corpus cavernosum urethræ, by compressing the erectile tissue of the bulb.
The latter fibers are best seen by dividing the muscle longitudinally, and reflecting it from the surface of the corpus cavernosum urethræ.

Anatomy of the Human Penis: The Relationship of the Architecture Between Skeletal and Smooth Muscles -- Hsu et al. 25 ...
The corpus cavernosum is entrapped in the ischiocavernosus muscle with the muscle fibers aligned in the longitudinal direction.
The ischiocavernosus muscle is paired with and situated at the lateral boundary of the perineum.
Meanwhile, the anterior fibers of the bulbospongiosus muscle partially radiate to encircle the corpus cavernosum and mostly insert into the ventral thickening of the tunica.

Pubococcygeus muscle - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
It is a hammock-like muscle, found in both sexes, that stretches from the pubic bone to the coccyx (tail bone) forming the floor of the pelvic cavity and supporting the pelvic organs.
These exercises are often referred to simply as "kegels." They also serve to contract the cremaster muscle as voluntary contraction of the pubococcygeus muscle (aided by vacuums, sucking in the abdomen/belly button) also engages the cremasteric reflex, which also has sexual benefits.
Between the termination of the vertebral column and the anus, the two Pubococcygei muscles come together and form a thick, fibromuscular layer lying on the raphé formed by the Iliococcygei.

In males, the bulbospongiosus muscles are united and surround the base of the penis.
In females, these muscles are separated in the middle by the vagina and act to constrict the vaginal opening.
They can also retard the flow of blood into veins, which help to maintain an erection in the penis of the male and the clitoris of the female.

 Fibromyalgia Information for YourUrologist
Often, in cases of irritable bladder and bowel, the lower internal oblique muscle and possibly lower rectus abdominus are involved.
The bulbospongiosus essentially wraps around the corpus spongiosum of the penis, which is the central erectile structure through which the urethra passes.
The anterior and middle fibers of the bulbospongiosus and ischiocavernosus muscles contribute to erection by reflex and voluntary contraction that compresses the erectile tissue of the bulb of the penis and also its dorsal vein.

Electromyography of Male Rat Perineal Musculature during Copulatory Behavior - Karger Publishers
Electromyogram (EMG) recordings were made from the bulbospongiosus (BS) and ischiocavernosus (IC) muscles of the awake male rat in order to evaluate the roles played by these muscles in the implementation of penile intromission during a copulatory encounter.
On EMGs recorded from the IC muscle, the initial low-amplitude phase at the initiation of each behavioral component was distinguished from the late high-amplitude phase whenever the male accomplished mounting or intromission.
In the BS muscle, however, the spectra of the two phases differed at a specific range of 400-600 Hz.

It is not surprising, therefore, that chronic pelvic floor dysfunction is often combined with smooth muscle dysfunction of the lower urinary tract, and both may be maintained by upregulated sacral reflexes.
Given the association of muscle dysfunction and nociception, chronic pelvic pain in some men could be considered a myofascial pain condition that is caused and maintained by central neurogenic mechanisms.

When the hammer briskly strikes a tendon, the muscle fibers attached to the tendon are stretched, leading to activation of stretch-sensitive receptors within the muscle.
Midsacral levels of the spinal cord mediate the bulbocavernosus and anal sphincter reflexes, which are, respectively, the palpable contraction of the bulbospongiosus muscle (at the base of the penis) following pinching of the glans penis and the contraction of the external anal sphincter following the scratching of the perianal skin.
Although disruption of the specific cutaneous reflexes may signal destruction of specific spinal segments or nerves, it is also important to note that the reflexes are diminished or absent when information normally traveling from the cerebral cortex to the spinal levels in question is interrupted.
