 Vasil Levski - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In 1862 Levski went to Serbia to enlist as a volunteer in the Bulgarian Legion raised by another Bulgarian revolutionary, Georgi Rakovski.
Vasil Levski (Bulgarian: ВасилЛевски, also transliterated as Vassil Levski), born Vasil Ivanov Kunchev (Васил Иванов Кунчев) was a Bulgarian revolutionary, ideologist, strategist and theoretician of the Bulgarian national revolution and leader of the struggle for liberation from Ottoman rule.
By the middle of 1872 he had succeeded in establishing a strong network of committees in a number of Bulgarian towns and villages which were in constant contact with and subordination to the clandestine government in the town of Lovech.

For the Macedonian population, the First Balkan War was fought to obtain autonomy for Macedonia, even though both Serbia and Bulgaria sought to advance their own national agendas in Macedonia at the expense of the Macedonian population.
The Balkan League resulted because of the failure of the Treaty of San Stefano and the Treaty of Berlin to resolve the issue of Macedonia.

 Vasil Drumev - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
With Russia trusting Drumev, in Summer 1895 he headed the Bulgarian parliamentary delegation in Saint Petersburg which had to reconcile Bulgaria with Russia, which terminated their official relations in November 1886.
After the Legion disbanded in 1862, Drumev emigrated in Russia, where he continued his education at the Kyev seminary.
Drumev also took part in the socio-political life in the Principality - he was a deputy in the Constituent assembly in 1879 and in the First great national assembly in 1879; he was Prime Minister in 1879-1880 and in 1886.
