Bull and Bush - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Bull and Bush is a public house near Hampstead Heath in London which gave its name to the music hall song "Down at the old Bull and Bush".
Near to the pub was the site of the proposed North End tube station (aka Bull and Bush) on the Northern Line of the London Underground but only the platforms were excavated, with the station construction being cancelled.
The interior was renovated in 2006 to a modern style with an openly visible kitchen and reopened to the public on 24th March.

AlterNet: Cautious Kerry and Bull-Headed Bush
Bush, on the other hand, is decisive, resolute, bull-headed, or reckless.
The Bush campaign's endlessly repeated charge that Kerry is a "flip-flopper" is not exactly on the mark, and not just because they apply it to everything Kerry says or does ("A Bush aide today charged that Kerry's breakfast of eggs and bacon was an obvious flip-flop, since he had corn flakes the day before.
If that had occurred to President Bush, he might have encouraged the Pentagon to give some thought to the possibility that U.S. troops wouldn't be welcomed in Iraq with flowers, and fewer of those troops might have died.

The Political Pit Bull: Poll: Bush Approval At 44%   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-02)
Bush's approval rating edged up largely on the strength of Republicans coming back to the fold with 86 percent saying they support him now, compared to 70 percent in May, USA Today said.
Also, the RCP average of President Bush's approval rating from four polls from September 11th to the 17th, including this one, is at 41.3%, which is decidedly up from his doldrums in 30s.
Bush is clearly the most corrupt fascist to ever occupy (in the strict military sense) the WH.

RSG: Sites: Bull & Bush - Unopened Northern Line Underground Station
Originally planned to be the deepest station on the whole Underground network at 200 feet below ground level, problems with planning due to the proposed surface station being built in a conservation area and the fact that the surface level wasn't highly populated meant that the station was abandoned effectively before it was even built.
The station's nickname is derived from The Old Bull And Bush pub, located a quarter of a mile away from the surface entrance.
This is the same Bull and Bush, popularised in a music hall song of the 1920s called "Down at the Old Bull and Bush" sung by Florrie Forde.

Bush's address to the nation from New Orleans last Thursday night was especially rancid.
For the first anniversary of the 2001 attacks, the White House planted Bush on Ellis Island, with the Statue of Liberty looming over his shoulder, and rented three barges-full of stadium lights to illuminate the statue during the evening address to the nation.
Then came the mother of all struts-and-bull productions -- Bush's landing on the USS Abraham Lincoln in bulging flight suit to announce, in the bathing light of a setting sun (the aircraft carrier was maneuvered away from its destination especially for the production value), "mission accomplished" in Iraq.

Media Matters - Media echoed conservative claim on Bush "mandate"
Following President George W. Bush's victory over Senator John Kerry in the 2004 presidential election, conservative media rushed to declare that the election was a decisive mandate for Bush's agenda, and mainstream media outlets have followed their lead.
Their pronouncements echo Vice President Dick Cheney's November 3 claim that "President Bush ran forthrightly on a clear agenda for this nation's future and the nation responded by giving him a mandate." But such pronouncements neglect important facts that suggest Bush's narrow victory is far from a decisive endorsement of his agenda:
Partisan judges (Bush's favorite scapegoat when it comes to being against his policies) took the election away from the people in 2000 and STILL he acted as if he won by a landslide.
