The entire tent town of Amargosa City, which was located near the original Bullfrog mine, moved to the Bullfrog townsite in March 1905.
May of 1905 was the peak of Bullfrog’s short existence.
A two-story hotel was constructed in early 1905 along with a county jail.

Bullfrog County was created in 1987 out of a portion of southern Nye County to place the proposed high level nuclear waste site in its own county, in an attempt to funnel federal mitigation funds from Nye County to the State of Nevada.
Clark County was created from the southern portion of Lincoln County in 1909 and named for William A. Clark, former United States Senator from Montana, and the builder of the railroad line through the area.
Unionville was the first county seat in 1861 until the mining boom died there and it was moved to Winnemucca on the transcontinental railroad line in 1873.

Yucca Mountain is a ridge-line in Nye County, Nevada, composed of volcanic material (mostly tuff) ejected from a now-extinct caldera-forming supervolcano.
In addition, the Nevada Test Site which encompasses Yucca Mountain, is the location where over 900 nuclear weapons have been detonated and continues to serve as primary location for any future nuclear weapons tests if needed.

Following a challenge by Nye County in the Nevada district court, the legislation was judged to be unconstitutional and subsequently was repealed by the Legislature in 1989.

The Comstock, perhaps the greatest mining strike in history, launched statehood for the Nevada Territory, fueled the Union treasury during the Civil War, underwrote the banking and financial economy of San Francisco, and developed new mining and transportation technologies that were a foundation for the twentieth-century silver and copper strikes in Nevada.
The Nevada United Mines Co. held properties in Ward and a survey was made for a 14-mile railroad north to Ely where connection with the NN would provide access to the smelters at Salt Lake City.
The question of new railroad construction is agitating the press and people of the state of Nevada to a considerable degree, the reports of new lines to connect the eastern and western parts of the state, which have gained wide circulation for two years past, are a source of particular interest.
