Yesterday was Danny's birthday and today is Yasmin's (have to go sort out present in a minute) so all in all it is a busy week.
Also yesterday Burgazada, one of the Princes Islands, went up in a LOT of smoke.
We watched most of it on TV, but if we looked out from the school balcony we could see all the smoke over the sea.

Befindet sich auf der Heybeliada (Halki) Insel und wurde im Jahre 1953 gegründet, weil seit 1940 mehr als 240 jüdische Familien den Sommer auf dieser Insel verbrachten.
Seit 1950 gibt es jüdische Familien auf der Burgazada (Antigone) Insel, aber die Erlaubnis zum Bau dieser neuen Synagoge wurde erst 1968 erteilt.

They were put there because it was the clean-up time, and they needed room for sweeping.
