		If those not living in the Tibet Autonomous Region are not excluded, ethnic groups such as the Balti and Burig, who are also are of Tibetan origin and consider themselves to be ethnically Tibetan, are Muslims as well.
		However, this is not as common as those among the Burig and Balti.
		As of today, most of the Tibetan Muslims are followers of the Sunni denomination, although the majority of the Balti and Burig are followers of the Shi'a denomination.
