The first Burlington station in Omaha opened on October 5, 1870, and is described as 'at the end of the plank road at the foot of Jones Street.' The approximate location was Third and Jones and the Omaha and South Western built it.

Andy Crawford became owner in the 1940s, and he and his family continued to operate the farm even after Route 128 cut his property in half, forcing them to make a one and a half mile drive down Newbridge Street to get to the other half of the farm.
This spot would today be along the median strip of Route 128 in Burlington.

 Street Sweeper Stabbed In Northern Kentucky
Timothy Smith, 28, of Florence, was cleaning the rear parking lot of the Ameristop located on Burlington Pike at Carlton Drive, across the street from an apartment complex, around 11:55 p.m.
The sweeper drove the vehicle to the Burlington Fire Department for help, and he was flown to University Hospital via Air Care helicopter.
The street sweeper said he has never had a complaint about his nighttime cleanings.
