  UCLan to open Burnley campus - UCLan
The NWDA is supporting the development of an enterprise strategy in Burnley that will deliver a positive step change in enterprise culture; embed innovation and entrepreneurialism in new Further Education (FE) and Higher Education (HE) provision as well as making it more responsive to local business needs.
Phase one of the project is expected to cost in excess of £70 million led by Burnley College and the University Of Central Lancashire, with other stakeholders including NWDA, Burnley Borough Council, Lancashire County Council, the Learning and Skills Council, HEFCE and Burnley Vision.
Burnley Borough Council has also made an important contribution of land it owns on Princess Way to the project.

Burnley started the second half in determined mood and soon took the lead when a great ball from Millar was picked up by Cooper who sent Thompson through, Thompson using her pace well beat the defenders and superbly chipped the ball and herself over the advancing keeper to make it 2-1 to the Clarets.
Burnley responded and a mazy run from Cooper was abruptly stopped when she was brought down on the edge of the area, Millar hitting a great free kick that the Borough defence just managed to clear.
