The goal of the study titled "Modernisation of the Grid Island of Thermal Power Plant Burshtyn for the Preparation of the Synchronous Operation with UCTE/CENTREL" [3] was to determine the requirements for reliable synchronous operation of the grid island.
The basic requirement for transit of additional power from TPP Burshtyn or TPP Mukachevo in radial operation through the Slovak or Hungarian grid is the prior approval by UCTE authorities.
According to the up-to-date calculations a power export of 1600 MW causes no violations in the network systems with the assumption that all the network elements from the UCTE data of 19th January 2000 are in operation.
