		Approximately 1 km before you reach Busquistar you will come across a dirt and gravel jeep track on your right hand side (signposted with yellow and white markings).
		This is a wide but steep track with a loose surface and sharp bends which drops down the mountain side for 1000m.

		This itinerary has a kilometre or so of road walking but there is virtually no traffic and the views are excellent.
		José and Inge, the owners of the delightful Sierra and Mar guesthouse in Ferreirola (the obvious first choice if you are planning to overnight here) kindly shared this route with me. Ferreirola and Busquistar are not in the least bit touristy and this would be a lovely first walk in The Alpujarras.
		You cross the river once again, swing left in front of a second ruined mill (2 hours 20 minutes) and climb up the northern side of the barranco.

		As the rooms were not ready, we stowed our bags in the dining room and set off for a walk.
		With the intention of picking up the GR7 we walked along the road towards Busquistar, but try as we might, even with the help of a waymarker post that directed us nowhere we couldn't find the path which is supposed to be part of a trans European path currently running from southern Spain to Greece.
		From Busquistar we descended into the Trevelez valley stopping for lunch at the bottom.

		Also close by on the way to Busquistar you will find the spring on your right.
		This is a tourist attraction and the story has it that if you want to get pregnant and you can't, then try this water.

		Two kilometres from the main road by a good unsealed track, this group of houses has been built alongside the old farmhouse.
		From the houses and particularly from the two fresh water swimming pools, there is a lovely view down the valley to the village of Busquistar.
