 | | Vice Admiral Sir Samuel Hood, Bt (1762-1814), son of Samuel Hood, was the most famous, but father Samuel's uncle (another Samuel), vicar of Butleigh from 1723 to 1761, had three sons, two of whom also became admirals (Samuel, Admiral Lord Hood 1724-1816 and Alexander, Admiral Lord Bridport 1724-1814). |
