Birds of a Feather - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Reminding the viewer of a poor man's Joan Collins, Dorian's lusty excursions and stereotypical Jewish mannerisms are generally the most fondly remembered elements of the series.
The comedy was largely derived from the culture clash between the two sisters, Dorian's love life, her cuckolded husband and the earthy language in the banter between Quirke and Robson, who were close friends in real life.
The series was devised and originally written by Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran who must also take responsibility for much of what Britain offers in the vein of Jewish humour.
