UZ-BU Buxoro Province (Bukhara Province) (Uzbek: Buxoro viloyati / Бухоро вилояти) is an administration division, or viloyati of Uzbekistan located in the southwest of the country。The Kyzyl-Kum Desert takes up a large portion of its territory.
Buxoro Province is divided into 11 administrative districts.
Buxoro Province has significant natural resources, especially natural gas, petroleum, graphite, bentonite, marble, sulfur, limestone, and raw materials for construction.

The leaders of two neighbouring Central Asian states, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, pledged at a summit in the Uzbek town of Buxoro on 19 November to boost relations, including in cross-border trade and the joint use of Amu Darya waters, the sole feeder of the shrinking Aral Sea.
Relations between the two countries have been strained since 2002, when Uzbek diplomats were accused by Asgabat officials of a conspiracy with Turkmen opposition figures.
