Hargrove were so strained they arranged meetings via press release and at one point could not even agree on whether something was a "meeting" or simply "contact." Yesterday, the talks collapsed, throwing Air Canada's future into question.
Hargrove promised to respond by noon, but he had to delay the reply when the hotel said they had to leave their rooms.
Hargrove called the response via press release a "slap in the face" and added "it's consistent with the way Air Canada has done business." He also dismissed suggestions the airline could collapse and said many other investors are still interested.

The Provincial Executive suspended the membership of Buzz Hargrove and the suspension was upheld by the Provincial Council.
Hargrove recommended that the CAW actively campaign in support of NDP candidates in ridings that had been determined by the party as priority ridings, and do everything possible to help those candidates get elected.
While I disagreed with Buzz's approach during the election, I think it is a grave error to suspend him for a number of reasons.
